So, the weather is lovely, and you'd never be more than a half hour from stuff, assuming you're looking at jobs in the area. The nuclear facility is highly regarded and well run.

The city itself is kind of cool. The government designed it before they built it, so the street names and numbers make more sense than anywhere you'll ever go in your life.

I don't know how long your current drive is to work, but a lot of people who work at ORNL actually live out west in Knoxville. That would bring you even closer to stuff, although Oak Ridge isn't bad on its own.
