As "graceful" as he might be about 2nd place in Iowa, it is entirely about keeping supporters upbeat. I don't pay a ton of attention to his pontificating but he doesn't seem to often blast voters but his opponents and faced with specific hard numbers, he can't simply tilt at windmills and say he won when he didn't but he sure can paint the picture that the loss is marginal due to X, Y, and Z
