It used to be that I would never ever quit a book. I'd stay with it to the bitter end.

But I've decided I don't have patience for stuff I'm not enjoying anymore. I quit Flann O'Brien's At Swim Two Birds earlier this year (and I've loved his other books, so I have no idea what happened there), and also quit a book called The Darkness That Comes Before by R. Scott Bakker because it was absolutely dreadful.
I've moved on to things I liked much better and I think I'm happier for it.
