1) My morale is in the toilet as is; largely in part to a boss I don't really like and the pending move of our company offices...but I'm at least in an area I love (it's been home since birth)
2) I think I would be okay, but long term, there's no growth and I am too smart for doing what I'm currently doing, fixing people's fuckups instead of helping to identify actual improvements.
3) Agreed.
4) I think I wouldn't mind it; it's a modest town but close to Knoxville. It'll never have the level of interesting things I have now for my interests (DC/Baltimore/the ocean, etc etc... we have everything within an hour.
We drive to RI when we do go, but money's limited that to maybe 1-2x a year. It would be a family trip of $750+ just on airline tickets if we flew, or a 15 hour car ride. It'd be more unlikely to happen.
I also am not sure if I'd ever be happy doing anything...I never have found my passion for a job and don't see this being it.
