relo money is nice, change of scenery is nice, it looks like a nice area, it's *fine.* right? it's all fine. maybe a minor inconvenience for the family stuff, but you could do it for a year or two.
while you are getting to relo and immediately after, stop being shitty about job hunting, get your resume looking tip top, and wallpaper the streets with it. both internally at locations and for positions you'd like better and externally.
when you get to OR, don't buy the nicest house on the biggest piece of land you can. rent for a year* to give yourself freedom to move if you get a better offer.
only after you've exhausted job search prospects should you buy a house in OR.
*note that you should put most of your stuff into storage to see what you can live without during this time. this is a time to lighten your load, emotionally, employeristically, physically. be smaller.
