I think I'm getting on board with the 'take it for now, skill up, jump in a couple of years if you want' approach, but one thing to consider on that

is how it would impact N.
Say Will/Kelly move MD --> TN now and then in 2 or 3 years move TN --> someplace else. Many family with kids have done this, of course, but it can be hard. How adaptive is N? How social? Can he build new networks easily, adapt to changed schools?
