I think my expectations were set really high, because I grew up with endless TV ads for the phenomenon that was Cats at the Winter Garden theater.

When I finally saw it (on tour), it turned out to be effectively be short stories / vignettes about cats/cat people set to forgettable music (except one certain song that would stick in your memories)
