Machine still works but it's 10 years old, runs Win XP Pro, and battery is dead.

Would a 10 year old laptop monitor work for that? I'd be willing try to but don't want to waste my time if it will look like crap.

the display being presented is pretty rudimentary (think: widgets). The monitor quality would likely not be any issue -- nm
