I'm appreciative and accepting of a variety of music. I also recognize kitsch when I hear it. The Beach Boys had a narrow band of popularity, I think for good reason. Growing up in a beach town I heard that music relentlessly. It is aurally tasteless, to me and apparently the now masses.
