I've listened to the entire catalog. It was practically required listening where I grew up.

My mother's roommate in the 70s was a fan. I heard it for about 3 years. And then the rest of my formative years from various convertibles, backyard BBQs, beach blankets, etc.
I'll grant you the studio invention in techniques but the product is bland.
Wilson is lauded for his work in the studio, that I'll easily 'fess up to but their aren't many kids mimicking the sound.
