yah, it'd be even harder for me to justify $5 an ep. to myself. I already pay too much for what I watch tv-show-wise.

maybe it won't be such a thing for those who've cut the cord. it's kind of a bummer that he's effectively limiting it to people who have that kind of disposable income. (or people who are willing to illegally download.)
thinking about it, along with other sponsorship-type things I've done in the past, I do patreon to support videos from an indie singer/songwriter I like - that is usually a couple of dollars a month. I've given ~$10 a couple of times to yt-based projects - a mini-series and a movie. maybe it's the unknown number of eps. thing that's the biggest limiter for me - hmm.
