personally, i don't think you should feel guilty at all if you choose not to take on this responsibility ...

i think it'd be a world of different if there was still something of a "familial relationship" in place ,,, but my gut is telling me right now that you shouldn't feel guilty for saying "no thanks" and if you choose to not take on this responsibility.
