Yes. PLF stands for Premium Large Format, and has one advantage over IMAX

Those theatres with a PLF can play any movie in that theatre, and can make changes based on demand. Last summer, we needed to move Straight Outta Compton in to our PLF (which is our largest auditorium), and it sounded fantastic with the sound system installed in there. Looked damn good too.

An IMAX screen can play a non-IMAX movie, but the theatre has to cover up everything marked IMAX to show it's not an IMAX presentation, and the film only shows through one projector.
