I never really was, I dated a gal who did, had friends, went on a couple encampments, even bought a ton of springs to start my own outfit

But then I moved to norcal for college, where they were far more PC, Period correct, and picky about equipment rules, ie, they used to use old propane tanks for helmets, but that was just a smidge to thin .
