Yes, and what's somewhat frustrating about it is that it has left the less knowledgable (right leaning) public with the impression that they lost the

only truly unbiased judge from the court (who happened to consistently reach conclusions that matched their conservative agenda). This was the impression my very republican in-laws had (even though they are not social conservatives). Now they feel like the courts are sort of up for grabs since the truly unbiased judge is gone.
