I support feminism on a lot of issues, but I've always found the SI Swimsuit Edition argument ridiculous

"It promotes an unattainable body image of women" or what have you
How about the other 51 covers per year showing a Michael Jordan type soaring seven feet high in the air, ripped muscles full extended as he is about to dunk on some fool? Is that not an unattainable image for men.
The only time an SI cover can make a man feel good about his body is if an offensive lineman is on the cover, which never happens except in the action shots. I doubt the Red Sox dude who ate all the clam chowder in New England will make the cover.
If you don't like the women of the swimsuit edition, you should train your fire on Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire which is where they make most of their money.
Me, I've dealt with the fact that I'll never look like Michael Jordan or American Pharaoh
