I imagine any calls from the GOP brass to the Cruz camp to drop out "for the good of the party" are met with a curt GFY, while having Rubio drop out is an all time "nonononono". Their only hope is a brokered convention, and that pretty much guarantees a third party run if they knock Trump out there.
