New York New York is about halfway between Excalibur and Monte Carlo in terms of amenities and "niceness."

I've never stayed at the Excalibur.

But I stay at New York New York when I'm on a budget, Monte Carlo when I have a little discretionary spending, and Bellagio when I'm living high on the hog and want a real treat.

All of them have been great in their own way, though, and New York New York is a quick skywalk over Las Vegas Boulevard to the MGM Grand.
