The slow place, the eeriness worked, but fell apart.
What worked for me is the whole ambiguity whether the daughter was a witch. But played it really close to the vest, denying it, but there was something in her eyes. Which is why I was really disappointed that they didn't end with her putting her head down on the table. They had to go an answer the question.
It could have been better.
