we ship a USB thumb drive and a USB dongle to people who buy our software. the drive is pointless (I mean, 8GB free storage, woo!), but has the logo

and company name on it. the dongle you actually need to run the software, but it's small and anonymous-looking.
I have countless cases of people calling up saying the dongle doesn't work, because they've plugged in the USB drive, even after I send them photos of the dongle, and specific procedures on how to use it. I'm not sure I believe this particular story, but people really are that stupid.
