Up until it all started to change in the late 2000s she was still only in favor of civil unions. At that point there was nothing

keeping her from saying she was in favor of equality if she was truly on that side of things.
I don't hold what Bill did against her, that's not fair. But she had many opportunities to come out in favor of equality and she stayed with the civil unions crap.
