If it's fine, then why the shenanigans? Why not just make the offer outright to your daughter?
Yes, it's your money, so you can do with it what you want. But I could easily come up with reasons that it's best to offer the money as you did to your other children and let your daughter make her own decisions with her fiance ...
But I don't have to type out any, fortunately, since your husband's discomfort is good enough reason for me. Why do something he feels isn't right?
