LIR: Gardener question, leaving plants out. coupla considerations.

transplants need to be hardened off, that means introduced to the real environment gradually, most are grown in milky plastic hothouses and their skin can't take that much direct sun just like we can't.
summer plants are much like us, can you sit on the ground butt naked? in the 50's we can survive, in the upper 40's we're miserable, lower 40's and we get sick, in the 30's we die.
don't plant out until your average night time temps are close to 50. last frost date only refers to literal frost, plant when night temps are in the 50's
