In response to "Whoa. No need to go into details if you choose not to but keep us informed as to how you are doing. -- nm" by HdnAgnda

About 10:30 last night I developed moderate pain throughout my central abdomen and back.

After several hours, it was still going, and even worsening. I couldn't get comfortable in any position sitting, standing, laying, walking. This would normally be disconcerting, but since I had the colonoscopy last week, I wanted to make sure it wasn't complications from that. So I trekked to the ER around 2am. They ran a full battery of tests, eventually focusing on my gall bladder. Initially, the lab tech said she saw small stones in my bladder, but the radiologist who read the ultrasound said there were no stones. They discharged me with a diagnosis of gastritis, and Rx for Nexium, and instructions to follow up with a Doctor about my stomache.

Of course, the pain quickly diminished and was gone within an hour of arriving at the ER (it's always that way, isn't it?)
