If it's any kind of reputable venue, none of this should be any problem.

a lot of it is protection for the band against the venue screwing up - it's not just food and drink, it's setup and such.
Responses:
yep, in fact the infamous 'no brown M&Ms' was because the venues weren't reading the riders right and there were problems with the equipment etc
