They don't know who he is...but real soon, they're all gonna see that this kid who showed up out of nowhere, knows more about skynet and the machines than anyone else who actually lived through Judgement Day. I'm thinking THAT is how he really became the savior...not by just following the assumed timeline.

Otherwise, he'd have just been another guy who survived.
