I think X-Men is probably the most influential for the current lot

Since it was the first to try to add a layer of "reality" to the proceeds (remember the costume drama), which is something that all present comic book movies are doing.
Burton and Schumacher's Batmans weren't set in the real world. You could make a case for the first Superman though. But the Superman movies didn't create a trend like X-Men did.
