She believes she has the right to breastfeed and she does, but she takes even the slightest hint of suggestion of someone maybe being against it and turns it into a battle cry.
The assistant was trying to be nice, as far as I my read, to say "listen, immature boys will be here soon and might make lewd/rude comments toward you". If you don't care, the response is "thank you for letting me know" and the whole discussion is over
