In response to "ST Liberals, I'm curious: On a scale of 1 (do NOT want) to 10 (YES PLEASE!): Do you want Trump to be the GOP general election candidate?" by ty97

From a certain perspective, he's my dream candidate for the Republican party.

I've been saying for the body of the 2000s that this is how we improve as a people. We hand the microphone to the stupid people, so that they face the nonsense of their logic. Racism, homophobia, and religious intolerance are all bigotries driving a key part of the Republican party. Let's have a guy willing to manipulate all the people holding those views stand up as the leader of the party throughout the 2016 election season. Let him say all the things they want to hear. Then, let the public judge the worthiness of those assertions. Afterward, we all move forward.

This is the purest form of the process.
