there was an article about a month or more ago I didn't link here that had economic factors indicating things are going badly against them

they've drastically cut their soldiers pay, they've cut back on social services and other governmental functions, they're accepting payments in black market dollars, etc etc
the bombing campaign takes time but its really hurting them badly on the ground
