The short first round of the NHL playoffs was more justified when it was 16 out of 21 teams getting in.

I know that for many 16 out of 20 is still too many teams, but best of 7s are warranted with the teams that get in. I could definitely get behind shortening the season to 76 games, but that'll never happen.
