a) to let me know that he's willing to do *anything* for the position. (breathy sigh) *anything.*
b) to let me know that even though he's applied for six other TA positions and is actively interviewing, this is the one position he actually wants.
c) to inform me that he thinks it's unprofessional for me to have told norm, our professor, that he said really wants to GA in marketing, not supply chain.
d) all of the above.
