I have plenty of soil already and figured I can add some transplant food that I also have.

If the sterile part is a huge concern, I saw Martha Stewart bake soil in the oven to kill any nasty stuff in it.

- fungus and weeds are good enough for mother nature, but are not helpful with growing peppers. - psilotum Apr 13, 11:57
oh hell no. plant them in any soil as long it's *good* soil that can hold moisture and fertlize (but don't over fertilize - it can burn roots.) -- nm - Andie Apr 13, 11:46 3
