Honestly that's one of the biggest problems for me.

I don't feel like she's my partner in working things through with the kids. I feel like she just pulls from the other side. I get that she's reacting to how it makes her feel, and she's not wrong to have feelings about it, but she's not capable of putting her feelings aside working things through. She's just an incredibly sensitive and emotional person, and I'm a deeply rational person. In our best times, we balance each other out, but when big things happen the balance gets thrown off.
