I almost mentioned it yesterday.

The Falcons offered a second round pick right before the trade deadline last year. Gonzalez declined because he wanted to play for a winner. He didn't believe the Falcons would make the playoffs. Assuming this is no longer an issue for him, I think the odds are about one in three. If the Falcons do this, I expect them to deal the #24 pick to the Giants for their #45 and #60 (the Giants are stupid with draft picks this year...they have 10 or 11 but only want 6 rookies to make their team). That way, we get Gonzalez with our second round pick but still select twice in the top 60. We'd be giving up 21 spots in the draft in exchange for two or three years of Gonzalez. If it came down to that or Pettigrew at #24, I'm honestly not sure which I'd prefer.
