It's a tough call in that you have to think Gonzalez has at most three seasons left. Pettigrew is considered the best TE prospect since K2, but he doesn't have the overhead. The thing is that the same was said of Vernon Davis. So, it's a couple of years of a sure thing (barring injury) or the chance at drafting the next Tony Gonzalez. Choices like that are what make the careers of GMs or get them fired quickly.
