Jetblue feels like a better organic match to me as far as building out a more national airline, but there are benefits to both Alaska and Jetblue.

Alaska wins service awards all the time. They are probably the most liked airline (from a service perspective) in the USA. -- (edited)

They do have free standby. Though it may be limited to the immediately prior flight.

That said: Outside of NYC, BOS, MCO, FLL, LGB, Jetblue doesn't exactly have tons of flights a day to/from anywhere -- nm
