An original Gutenberg Bible, most of of Lewis & Clark's original logs and journals, and original copies of just about every major work of fiction or non-fiction since 1600.
My favorite part is the display of the original library that Jefferson gifted to the U.S. government to start the Library of Congress. About half the books are the very ones he donated, and the Library is gradually replacing books that were lost over time.
