I want a new car. Do I need a new car? No. I just want one. Does anyone here lease their cars? -- (edited)

I've heard leasing can be better but I've always been against it for probably no good reason.
Responses:
Depends on what you want. Leasing gets you a nicer car and it's usually totally covered.

leasing is generally not a good financial decision because you have no equity in the asset at the end of the lease term. it's like a long-term rental.

This is one reason why I've never considered leasing. I like having my car. -- nm

We leased the car I'm driving now. We had no issues with it, but I'm not sure I'd do it again.

I should also add that when you sign your lease, the dealer will also lock in a purchase price on the vehicle at that time.
