We leased the car I'm driving now. We had no issues with it, but I'm not sure I'd do it again.

Bottom line, I love this car and from the moment we leased it, I knew that, barring a lemon or wreck situation, we'd buy it outright when the lease was up.
However, when it came time to buy, I was upside down on mileage by like 10,000 miles - so, if I was to give it back, I'd have been out of pocket some serious jack.
As it was, I didn't give the car back. We bought it and my payment actually went down like $70/month from the lease to the financed loan.
If you're one that keeps a car for a long time...the lease could be the way to go. If you like to swap out cars and drive a lot, you could be looking at mileage penalties and stuff.
