The country is in exponentially better shape than it was 50 years (you know, the race riots/Vietnam War era).
I'm not angry toward the (general) federal government. I am angry at elected officials who ran for office simply to prevent government from operating effectively.
Immigrants are not a burden on society.
U.S. Muslims should not be subject to more scrutiny. (If they are, all gun owners should be.)
Social security benefits should not be reduced.
US global involvement is situational rather than a finite response. Sometimes, we make things better. Other times, we make things worse.
Free trade is good for the US, although imperfect.
Abortion should be legal, and we should be searching for medical solutions to allow women to decide when they get pregnant as well as ones that stop periods and their corresponding aggravations.
The government does have not just a responsibility but an ethical imperative to provide healthcare to all citizens.
