Kitty update

So based on observation, the internet, and the vet here's the best guess:

When Jinx was spayed, a part of the ovary and/or uterus was left behind. For a while this caused no issue. At some point the tissue planted itself at the base of the bladder where the urethra comes out. This normally doesn't cause any problems, but when she goes into heat, this tissue reacts to the hormones and expands. When that happens it pinches her urethra causing pain when she tries to pee.

She has an exploratory surgery scheduled for the 12th. Hopefully they'll just be able to remove the tissue and that will be that. It could be more complicated if the tissue has really connected to the urethra.
