hell yes, the worst part of food allergy infections is that it takes 2 weeks to expell, which is a lonnng time. it turned out for my first sammy to

be those pig ear chews, and raw hide chews.
our vet had us making tofu and brown rice with some other things like bone meal. we didn't know, living in the city, but found some at the healthfood store, so we were buying $10 little spice bottles of bone meal a week....(a couple years later I'm in a garden supply store and saw a 10lb sack....)
but yeah it was monthly and $100 or more each time.
keep the ears flushed out, feed them something high quality.. OH, those bags of science diet the vet sells have far more allergy causing crap in them than anything in the store, go figure.
