Yes, last night was the suck and everything they actually did could have been covered in 30-45 minutes. But here are some takeaways:

I think TWD is getting ready to start looking more like GOT. The intros of those people who Carol and Morgan met are obviously not horrible Joes. And I think Morgan spared one of them earlier in the season so it may help tie up the whole BS existential crisis that Carol and Morgan are currently wading thru with their mouths open.

If they are who I suspect (The Kingdom), and these people ally with Alexandria and The Hilltop, the numbers of Negan and the Saviors can possibly be met and surmounted. Which would be a relief because right now everything looks hopeless.
