Would it be possible to set up automation for Twitter to import contents of a file into a feed every x minutes?

Like, I have a report written to disk every 5 minutes.
The report shows all widgets sold in the last 5 minutes.

I'd want to import the contents of that file
into a new tweet
shortly after the file was updated.

So, every 5 minutes or so, there would be a tweet showing all the widgets sold since the last tweet.

this should be possible, right?
