Right, contact is something that the metrics don't account for yet which is what they do best.

if you get a hit on 3/10ths of your in play hits on average....that's an extra 60-70 hits they got just by making contact.
Add in that bullpen, that's a lot more chances vs their pitchers giving up a lot less...
the Yankees can do that now with Miller/Betances/Chapman...they just aren't as good with the bats.
