Honestly, the movie isn't really about legal stuff. I mean it's in the background (I guess) but there are no real court scenes. -- (edited)

They're reporters, not lawyers.
I forgot the one courtroom scene and the scenes that take places in courthouses but not courtrooms. I doubt you'll object (ha!) to the limited courtroom scenes.
