Concerns me a little. I thought that was a mistake of the prequels.

Obviously there needs to be connective threads, but the prequels went insane trying to make everything possible connect.
I'd be cool with a story about a group of rebels that pull off a dirty dozen-ish plot that is a stand alone story, since none of them are clearly players in episodes 4,5,6.
With just a sprinkling of Vader's presence as an unreal ass kicker to establish the seeds of the rebellion and Empire's position.
I don't need to much heavy handedness.
