the nominee only helps Trump/Cruz and if you want to give them a better shot at winning then I can see logically that play. I mean, Cruz and Trump supporters probably LOVE Bernie staying in.
However, if you want someone that is CLOSER to the views of Bernie than farther from what he stands for, you should not want to be helping Trump or Cruz.
Nader supporters were so delusional and ideological they got George W. Bush elected over the candidate that was closer to Nader politically.
Cut of your nose to spit your face comes to mind.
