Heh, I called AA last night for some information on a WestJet/AA code-shared flight.

I wanted to know what the process was for customs clearance to the U.S. Whether I'd need to do that in Toronto.
First she denied that they code-shared with WestJet, so I quoted her flight numbers. Then she had no idea of customs procedures and would have to create a dummy reservation to check. Then she had to put me on hold while she apparently researched the question.
*Finally* she came back and told me I would clear customs in Halifax before boarding. I should have just checked the Customs and Immigration website :)
I *didn't* ask why AA was charging 50% more than WestJet for the same flight but that may have something to do with your post.
